Born in German in 1981 and imported to Canada at the age of 18 months. Coeur de Lion spent most of his life in British Columbia, Canada, after a short time in Alberta with his former owner Sandy Diamond. In the year 2000 he changed ownership to Kelly Allen of Langley whom promoted him as a Breeding stallion. By the Late Great Cor de la Bryere a stallion that has left a long legacy of international champions around the world out of a Mare called Falke by the great Farnese (over 200 year of Pure Holstiener Blood in his bloodlines).
Coeur de Lion was approved for Breeding with the Canadian Warmblood Association at the age of 21 years old. Not only did he pass with flying colors but the judges said he trotted like a 4 year old stallion and went 1st Premium that day.
His gentle personality made it hard for others riding with Kelly to know he really was in deed a stallion.
In Coeur de Lion's later years he spent many miles out on the open trail enjoying a good hack. He even went on a few camping trips up to the Merritt area. His last year was spent on 136 beautiful acres just West of Portland Oregon. Where he still lay today under that big oak tree. He will be remember by everyone that touch his heart and all those whom where lucky enough to have one of his offspring.
